Elder Fraud Prevention
September 25, 2022 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Free
Frauds and scams affect millions of Americans each year. Older consumers are a special target for those offering bogus prizes or products and services using various channels of communication. The economic consequences older Minnesotans face when defrauded are often devastating. It is nearly impossible to replenish bank accounts or money saved for retirement when it is taken by scams and frauds.
Join the CLCF Foundation for a presentation on “Elder Fraud Prevention” on Sunday, September 25 at 11:30 am in the Lower Narthex. Kyle Nessen and Lucinda Cutrer from the Minnesota Attorney General’s office will present current facts and information on fraud and scams as well as guidance to avoid finding yourself a victim of such actions.
A lunch will be provided.
Kyle Nessen is a Mediator in the Consumer Action Division. He has worked in various divisions at the MN Attorney General’s office for 12 years which has given him considerable experience and knowledge with scams and frauds. Kyle has a bachelor’s degree in human services from Metro State University.
Lucinda Cutrer has worked as a Consumer Analyst in the MN Attorney General’s office since January 2020. She is a graduate of St. Olaf College where she majored in political Science/prelaw. She enjoys making music when not working.
