Coping with Loss, Navigating the Grief Process

November 2 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Free

Reimagining life after a death or significant loss is one of the most difficult adjustments a person faces in a lifetime.  When someone or something is taken from us, life is disrupted, resulting in pain, emptiness, and often emotional paralysis.  Grief is a process of naming loss and accepting the feelings that go along with it.  Finding a new “home-base” for the routine of life and committing to a vibrant outlook on the future is the goal of the grief process.  Grief requires emotional, relational, and spiritual adjustments in order to find a new foundation for living in the world. Faith is a great asset in navigating the grief process.  Pastor Brian will share insights about grief, explore coping practices, reflect on what it means to embrace resilience.  We will discuss healthy perspectives on grief and new ways of living beyond significant loss.

Speaker: Rev. Brian Gutzmann, Visitation Pastor

Light refreshments will be provided.
